Peacefully at Country Terrace, Komoka on Saturday, September 13, 2025 , Sharon Elizabeth Rogers (nee DeGraw) passed away in her 82 year. Predeceased by her husband Joseph(2011) and her sons Joe (2019) and Tim (2021) . Dear mother to Ben (Arlene) Rogers and Lesia Rogers . Beloved grandma to Amber, Ben Jr., Sharon, Crystal and the late Erick. Sharon will be missed by her brother Duncan (Norma) DeGraw many nieces and nephews and special family friend Beth Huston-Blair. Following Sharon’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes st., Glencoe on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 12 Noon with visitation 1 hour prior. Peacefully at her home in Glencoe, with family by her side, Evelyn Lorraine Patterson (nee Gilbert) passed away in her 87th year.  Predeceased by her husband Ross (2005).  Beloved mother of Jane Berdan ( Dave) and Ann Stalker and mother-in-law of Lenore Patterson.  Dear grandmother of John (Kaitlyn) Stalker, Matthew (Elicia) Stalker, Jessica Stalker (Mario), Krista (Gary) Simpson, Emily (Jeremy) Featherstone, Megan (Matt) Gregory and Kelly (Travis) Caughell.   Loved by her great-grandchildren Emmett, Connor, Patrick, Malcolm, Eila, Madilyn, Fynn and Fallon.  Also survived by her sister Mary Ellen Mortier (late Bert) and sisters-in-law Ruth Gilbert, Elaine Bebensee (late Lloyd) and Doris Patterson as well as several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her son Scott (2013), granddaughter Hilary (1994) and her siblings Murray (Shirley) Gilbert, Jean (Gerald) Jones, Nora (Percival) Herbert, Glen (Jean) Gilbert, Eldon (Mary) Gilbert, Velma (Ken) Rose and Dick Gilbert. Evelyn was a member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Wardsville. Her quiet gentle nature made her well loved by everyone, especially her family. She was well known for her hospitality and home cooked meals. She always put others before herself, never wanting to be the centre of attention, a humble quiet soul, who will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, August 22 at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes street, Glencoe where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.  Interment to follow at the McLean Cemetery, West Elgin.  Memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church or Four Counties Health Services (Palliative Care).

Peacefully, with her loving husband by her side, on Monday Aug 11, 2025 at University Hospital in London, Joyce Walter (nee Prince) passed away at the age of 72. Dear wife of Jim Walter for 51 years. Caring mother to Jamie (Andres) and Julie (Rob). Proud grandmother to Ashwin, Oren and Aravyn. Dear sister to Karen and special aunt of Martha and Jonathan. Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Kay Prince of Alvinston. Following Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Ralph Noel Keating of Newbury passed away in his 96th year.  Predeceased by his wife Donna (Archer).  Dear father of Brad (Terrie) Keating, Cheryl (Eugene) Johnston and Scott Keating and grandfather of Amanda Reynaert,  Bill Johnston (Kelsey), Travis Keating, Jesse Johnston (Stacey), Ben Keating, Hillary Johnston (Matt), Kelsey Johnston (Matt), Paxton Moniz (Tyler), Skylar Keating (Chad), Jayden and Ethan Keating.  Loved by his great-grandchildren Stinson, Irelyn, Ellie, Harper, Georgia, Memphis, Poppy, Charlotte, Daisy, Hayes and Luca.  Also survived one brother Wilfred (Dona) Keating.  Predeceased by his siblings Myles (Bernice), Blair (Edith), Doris Biales (John) and Connie Simpson (Carl).  Fondly remembered by special niece Sharon Wilson. Many nieces and nephews also survive.  Visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 8 at 11 a.m.  Rev. Bill Allan

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 William Hugh “Bill” Allan of Glencoe passed away in his 72nd year.  Beloved husband of Sue (nee Taylor) and dear father of Jackie and her husband Spencer Donald.  Loving grandfather of Brooks and Andie, the two joys of his life.  Dear brother of Jan Allan and Bruce Allan (Lynne).  Also survived by his mother-in-law Joyce Aitken and brother-in-law Mike Taylor (Sharon).  Uncle Bill will be missed by his nieces and nephews and their families; Sean (Chantal), Jenny (Mike), Kelsey (Julian), Josh and Jacob. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Reta Allan.  Bill was retired from Dow Chemical where he worked for thirty-five years.  He was proud of the Glencoe community where he lived all his life and was actively involved for many years with Minor Hockey, the Glencoe and District Curling Club, Glencoe Legion, CERV Middlesex and enjoyed the game of golf.  Bill was someone who never sat still for long — always busy doing something, whether it was helping at a local event, lending a hand, or simply checking in on others.  He found joy in being useful, in being present, and in being involved.  To his family, he was a steady hand and a loving heart. To friends and strangers alike, he was a friendly face you could always count on and had a natural gift for making people feel welcomed and at home.   A private family service will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, Glencoe with interment at Oakland Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Glencoe Agricultural Hall, 268 Currie Street, Glencoe on Sunday, July 27 from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. with a Legion Service at 2:30.  Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, laughter and raise a glass of Molson Canadian – his favourite – to toast a life well-lived and a spirit that will never be forgotten.  Memorial donations may be made to Four Counties Health Services Foundation or Glencoe Presbyterian Church.  The Allan family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Lavasova, Dr. Wang, Dr. Bean and Dr. Gunn and all the nursing staff on 2 South at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.
