At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Monday, October 26th 2026 , John Thomas “Tom” Kelly of West Lorne passed away in his 77th year. Loving husband to Kathie (nee Murray) for 52 years. Cherished father to Jennifer and her partner Scott. Perfect grandfather to Saphira, Aiedail and Firnen. Tom will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents J.A. “Peck” and Isobel Kelly and sister Winnis VanLierop. Tom dedicated 30 years of his career to teaching geography at GDCI, where he also shared his passion for the game of chess through the school’s chess club and coached volleyball. He was also involved with the Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation. Outside of his career, Tom enjoyed travelling across Canada and the United States, camping, and relaxing while watching his favourite western movies. Following Tom’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, West Lorne. Memorial Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
