Peacefully, at Bobier Villa, Dutton, on Monday, June 22, 2026, George Neil passed away in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Opal. Loving father of Adrian (Wendy) Neil. Cherished grandfather of Jacob (Anna) Neil. George will be sadly missed by his two brothers, Ron and Terry (Lisa), and by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gilles (Donna) Bonneau, Barry Stringer, Ron Faulkner, Wayne Greystock, Dayle (Jane) Greystock, Donna (Ted) Peacock, Michelle (Adam) Coppaway and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his daughters Andrea and Erica, and by his sisters Eileen (Calvin) Wannamaker, Diane Bonneau, Peggy Stringer and sister-in-law Carrol Faulkner. George retired in 1993 from the MTO after 32 years of service. In his retirement he enjoyed golf, curling, camping and travelling. Faithful member of Glencoe Presbyterian Church, where he volunteered his time. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 29th at Glencoe Presbyterian Church, Glencoe (177 Main St, Glencoe) from 1-2 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Glencoe Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners in memory of George.
