It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Archie Ward McEachern announce his passing at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Thursday April 23, 2026 in his 83rd year . Predeceased by his loving wife Shirley (2023) of almost 58 years. Beloved father of Dan (Brenda) and Janice (Gerry) . Cherished grandfather of Kyle (Sarah) and Felisha. Archie is predeceased by his parents Bruce and Gladys (nee Zavitz) McEachern, his sisters Mary Ellen and Beth (Gord) and his sister-in-law Marjorie Colnutt. He will be missed by his brother-in-law Jim and many nieces and nephews. Archie was an active member in the community, He enjoyed sports and the outdoors. Following Archie’s withes cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to the graveside service at Kilmartin Cemetery on Friday , May 1st 2026 at 1 p.m. Family will also be receiving guests at the Alvinston Royal Canadian Legion Branch 249 from 2 – 4 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or Charity of your choice.
