Shannon Havens

A beautiful light has left this world and now shines from the heavens above. Following a brief but courageous battle, Shannon Margaret Elizabeth (Thornicroft) Havens passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023.

Beloved wife and best friend of Steve Havens. Devoted mother of Mitchell and Sarah. Predeceased by her parents John (1995) and Elizabeth (Williams) Thornicroft (2000). Dear sister of Greg (Kim) and Brent (Michelle) Thornicroft. Much loved daughter-in-law of Ron and Linda Havens. Cherished niece of Don (Karen) Williams, Marie “Bea” Williams, Donnie Havens and Susan (Chuck) Dozois. Treasured sister-in-law of Kathryn (Brian) Chalmers and Jaclyn (Rodney) Coreau. Devoted aunt to Macie and Wyatt Chalmers and Morgan and Keaton Thornicroft. Much loved cousin of Deanna (Justin) Lautenbach, Brittney Williams (Zach), Cassidy (Sydney) Williams-White, Madison Gagnon (Andrew) , Tyler Dozois, Natalie McAlpine Turner and Roland (Mary Ann) McAlpine. Shannon was blessed with many friends who were like family and will be greatly missed by her lovable Great Pyrenees, Hank.

Family would like to acknowledge the care Shannon received at London Health Sciences Centre, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and Chatham-Kent Hospice. 

Visitation will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes St., Glencoe on Thursday, December 28 from 4-8 p.m. with a celebration of life to be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 29 at Burns Mosa Presbyterian Church, 24493 Dundonald Rd., Glencoe. Interment to follow at Shetland Cemetery, 1293 Shetland Rd.  Memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for Mitchell and Sarah. Please make cheques payable to “Steve Havens In Trust”
