Surrounded in love, Mark Lindsay Archer, born August 20 1953, wishes were honored to age in his home with dignity. Mark battled Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism until the peaceful morning of October 20, 2024, in his 72nd year around the sun. God carried his tired mind home to his beautiful wife Debbi Archer (March 26, 2023) in heaven. Also awaiting him was his granddaughter Lauren Archer, his parents Ida and William Archer, brothers Eddie and Donald Archer. Excitedly cheering, let the Shenanigans begin were best friends Barb, Wynne, Steve and Barry. Never Goodbye, always “Drive safe, see you soon.” Until we meet again. Survived by his brother Paul Archer, daughter Angela Archer (Scott) and grandson Cooper, granddaughters Hailey Archer (Daniel) and Olivia Archer (Cooper), son Joe Archer (Rachelle), grandchildren Sadie and Ryker, step grandchildren, Judy Lynn, Paul and Jamie, sister-in-law Heather Rowe, brothers-in-law Ted Rowe, Ric Tait and many nieces and nephews. Nothing compares to the love of his fur baby of 16 years, missing him greatly is his dog Naugon. Mark sadly was aware of the constraints the health care providers he relied on were up against. We could not have honored Mark and Debbi’s wishes without the tireless efforts and support of a village these past 18 months. Thank you Kim and the entire e-shift crew for the outstanding care Mark received. Cindy and the entire Middlesex County Community Paramedic Team for always supporting in trying to keep him home. In our hearts you are the unspoken heroes of our community. Thanks to the amazing pharmacy team at Bossons; no challenge was too small to above and beyond care. You made Mark feel like family, Dr. Kyle Carter for patiently caring for Mark through many road blocks and frustrations, Rev. Deb Dolbear-VanBilsen for her support, Paula for answering the phone and staying on well past office hours, Dr. Jennifer Parr for accepting Mark and allowing him his final wish, Jenny from BRT for the strength and knowledge for us to carry on, Catherine and our entire FTLD support group at McCormick Home for the endless support, but mostly for just getting it without judgment only love, St. Elizabeth’s Traveling nurse for your endless care around the clock, Nurse Practitioner Sara, without you we absolutely couldn’t have honored Mark. Your gift to him will be cherished forever. Anthony, you truly are an Angel, who has been by Mark’s side for 9 long years on his journey. The compassion and human kindness you showed while supporting was the most instrumental in his fight against dementia. You are a rare gem in a world that needs more of your bright colors of empathy, courage and determination. In a system full of excuses you never stopped advocating. Following Mark’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donation may be made to Glencoe Presbyterian Church.
