At St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, Helen Ann Misek (nee Pitel) of Alvinston passed away in her 88th year. Beloved wife of John Misek. Dear mother of Irene Williamson (Paul), Christine Misek (Bob Lauder) and Margaret Misek–Evans (Peter) and grandmother of Rebecca Williamson (Karl Spangler), Cynthia Williamson, Eric Williamson, Piers Evans (Rebecca Smyth), Benjamin Evans (Teri-Lynn) and Henry Evans. Also survived by 2 sisters Margaret Bryce, Mary Corbett (Wayne) and 2 sisters-in-law Elaine and Doreen Pitel. Predeceased by her parents Vojtech and Ludvina (Podolinsky) Pitel and siblings Annie, Vojtech and Louis Pitel. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 3232 River Street, Alvinston on Friday from 2-4 and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Watford on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Alvinston. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice (Sarnia) or Canadian Cancer Society.
