At Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Monday, October 22, 2018, Carolyn Merle “Carol” Grover (nee MacKichan) formerly of Glencoe passed away in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of James “Jr.” Grover. Dear mother of Dennis (Rae) Grover, Karen (Jim) Long and Jennifer Grover and grandmother of Loni, Jamie and Michelle Grover and Mandy Long. Also survived by her 7 great-grandchildren, sister Irene Milner (John) and sister-in-law Betty Ann MacKinnon (Jack). Predeceased by her daughter Diane and 2 sisters June Park (Gord) and Doreen Wilhelm (Eldon). Cremation has taken place and Graveside service will be held at the Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe on Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m. Rev. Cheryl Bolton officiating. A very grateful thank you to the Staff at Strathmere Lodge who took such excellent care of Carol, treating her as one of their own. Thank you is simply not enough, we know you didn’t get to know the “real” Carol prior to her illness, but we can’t begin to express our gratitude for the care and compassion shown to all of us in this time with you.
