Grace McGill formerly of Glencoe, Ontario passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Taichung, Taiwan. Grace was born in Saskatchewan and lived there until she met Clare McGill of Glencoe in the summer of 1948. Together they raised two surviving sons, Tim McGill and Terry McGill in Taiwan, where they served as Bible translators for the Tayal tribal. Grace and Clare retired to Glencoe in 1986 and Clare predeceased in 1996. Grace remained in Glencoe until 2011 when she returned to Taiwan to live with her sons. She was a loving grandmother of Nathan McGill, Angela McGill, James McGill, Mark McGill, and Joshua McGill. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Wesley, Paul and Van Theobald. Her brother Sterling Theobald lives in Indiana and her sister Dorothy still lives in New Zealand. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes St., Glencoe on Monday July 6 from 12:30 to 1:30pm when a Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Deb Dolbear- Van Bilsen officiating. Private interment will be held at the Appin Cemetery.
