At Watford Quality Care Centre on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, Laura Mae Werden (nee Sands) formerly of Alvinston passed away in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Walter (2004). Beloved mother of Howard (Debbie), John (Bernice), Morris (Janice) and Laura Jane Jardine. Dear grandmother of Wendy, Heather (Mike), Ann Marie, Len (Jennifer), Michelle (Alan), Steven (Courtney), Darcy (Kandice), Jeff (Aida), Marcia, Vance (Rae) and great-grandmother of Bradley, Kylie, Ryan, Dylan, Emerson, Megan, Parker, Spencer, Leah, Rebecca, Miles, Violet, Thomas, Tanner and Mikenna. Predeceased by 5 sisters and 1 brother. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 3232 River Street, Alvinston on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7 at 11 a.m. Rev. Jim Breen officiating. Interment to follow at Alvinston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hope United Church.
