On Tuesday, June 6, 2017 John Gordon McEachern of R.R. 7 Watford passed away in his 78th year. Beloved husband and supporter of Linda Lee (Ellis) for 54 years. Will be greatly missed by sons Brent (Shirley), Gregg (Corrie) and Dean (Jenny) and fantastic grandchildren Connor, Jack, Riane, Raileh and Nina. Survived by sisters, Ann (Ken) McDaniel, Alice (Paddy) Jones and brother Alex (Marylou) and brother-in-law David (Marilyn) Ellis. Predeceased by wee grandson Nicholas (1996) sister Isabel Brown (1996), his parents Bill and Katharine McEachern and in-laws Bill and Marjorie Ellis. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 3232 River Street, Alvinston on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 10th at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jim Breen officiating. Interment to follow at the Alvinston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “Raise the Roost Campaign” (cheques payable to Municipality of Brooke/Alvinston).
