At Babcock Community Care Centre, Wardsville, on Saturday, July 14, 2018, Bruce John Dolbear of Appin passed away in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Norma Elizabeth (nee Walker). Dear father of Tim (Marta), Dan (Andrea) and Rev. Deb Dolbear –Van Bilsen (Jacques). Loved by his grandchildren Jordan (Kim), Dalton, Ashlyn, Emily, Sammy, Elizabeth and John and great-granddaughter Ainsley. Dear brother of Don (Norma J.), Louise Ross (Walter), Joyce Young (Bob), Connie Caley (Hank) and Carol Oliver (Jack). Fondly remembered by the Walker family, Anna Walker, Dorothy Walker (Rudy), Audrey Hailstone, June McLachlan (Tom) and Marlene Walker as well as several nieces and nephews. Bruce is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Lillian Dolbear, Norma’s parents; Martin and Josephine Walker and brothers-in-laws, Doug Young, Bob Caley, Bill Walker and Hank Hailstone. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18 at 11 AM. Rev. Amanda MacMillan officiating. Interment to follow at the Kilmartin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Babcock Community Care Centre Residents’ Council or Appin Presbyterian Church.
