It is with profound sadness that the family of Barb Reycraft announces her passing in her 74thyear on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Four Counties Health Services in Newbury. Barb will be lovingly remembered by her best friend and husband of 51 years, Doug, and her sons Sean (Chris) and Nathan (Jaclyn). She will be forever in the hearts of her sisters Elaine Mitchell (Peter) in Peterborough, Eleanor Warren in Glencoe, her brother Roy Warren (Cathy) in London, her brother-in-law Gerald (Clara) in Glencoe, sister-in-law Marie in Merlin and sister-in-law Joan in Kingsville. Barb was predeceased by her parents Roy (2003) and Mary (2012), nephew Greg Howse (1997) and brothers-in-law Bob Washburn (2017) and Ron Reycraft (2019). She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. For many years, Barb enjoyed her work as a senior resource assistant at the Quest Centre, an employment resource office attached to Glencoe District High School – all while supporting Doug’s political activities with the Association of Municipalities of Ontario and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Together they enjoyed travelling to towns and cities all across Canada. At different times in her life, Barb was an enthusiastic and generous volunteer with the Glencoe Lioness Club, the local advisory committee for Fanshawe College, the Southwest Middlesex Communities in Bloom Committee, the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation and the Hip Hip Hooray Walkathon in London. She was a long-time member of the Glencoe Horticulture Society and took pride in her own garden which she was able to enjoy these past few months until her death. The funeral will be by invitation only at Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Saturday, October 17. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, October 16, 2-4 and 7-9, and on Saturday 10 am to noon.
