Ann Doreen Jones passed away peacefully in the continuing care unit of Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital of Petrolia on the 3rd of February 2023 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband, Peter Philip Jones (2020), her two sons, Philip Jones (2019), and Melvin Jones (1990). She leaves behind two daughters, Heather (Hugh) Wilson and Dawn Hinnegan. Proud Nanny of nine grandchildren: Louise (Jeff) Baer, Joyce (Joshua) Downer, Paul (Ashley) Wilson, Dustine (Jim) Keys, Mark (Melissa) Wilson, Joshua (Stephanie) Jones, Tiffany Hinnegan, Nathan (Julianna) Jones, and Sarah Jones. Doreen was also great-Nanny to fourteen grandchildren, Rebecca, Jenna, Emma, Rhys, Abbey, Zoe, Hannah, Joel, Eden, Trinity, Emma W., Theo, Ezra, and Seth. She is fondly remembered by her sister, Glenys Richardson, and brother, Charles (Celia) Cobbing, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Doreen was Welsh, born in Newport, Wales. She worked various jobs including, a biscuit factory, silver service for the royal family, barmaid, Red Cross Homecare Worker, Delivery driver for IDA, and bartender at Royal Canadian Legion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 249.
