It is with heavy hearts that the family of WIlliam “Bill” Edwards of Glencoe announces his passing on June 9th, 2026, at Four Counties Health Services. Bill was born on December 13th, 1940, in Woodgreen, Ontario. He leaves behind his beloved wife Ann (Pustay) of almost 56 years. He was the proud father of Ryan Edwards (Jen) of Toronto, Kelly Galbraith (Richard) of Appin, and Brendan Edwards (Shannon) of Komoka. Bill loved being surrounded by his grandchildren – Charlotte and Sophie, Ryerson and Kennedy, and Danika and Brooklyn. He always kept tabs on their activities and accomplishments. Bill also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Ed Pustay (Julie), and his sister-in-law, Cindy Staels (Fred), and their families. His younger years were strongly influenced and shaped by his Uncle Verd and Aunt Zada Edwards. In his later years, he enjoyed visiting with his many cousins and friends. Bill was a dedicated employee of Ford Motor Company for 30 years. His love of hockey and baseball was apparent to all who knew him. He spent countless hours in the community playing, coaching, umpiring, and refereeing. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family burial. Go Wings Go! If you wish, in honour of Bill, you may donate to the Southwest Bullets Minor Hockey Association or Glencoe Minor Baseball Association or Breakthrough T1D. This support would mean so much to him.
