After a long and courageous battle with cancer at his home in Glencoe, Bryan Robert Nelson passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025 in his 79th year. Loving and devoted partner to Shirley Young. Dear father to Rhoni (Aaron) and Rick (Cynthia) of Alberta who were able to be with Bryan for his final journey. Grandpa to Victoria and Justin and great-grandpa to Griffin, Isabel and Hazel. Bryan will be missed by Shirley’s family; Terri (Kevin) Pitt, Ryan, Matt, Ally (Kyle) and Sheri (Jamie) Squire, Shane, Morgan (Dalton) , Melissa (Logan), Cole , Jesse (Ashley) Jayden, Lily. Bryan was a retired Local 488 Edmonton Pipefitter and worked in the oil sands for many years. His greatest passion was golfing, he could always be found at the Wardsville Golf Course. Following Bryan’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside will be held at Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
