William (Bill) George Cann passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 77 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at his home in Welland. He leaves behind his loving wife of 27 years, Elspeth Cann, daughters Dana (Tim), Julie (Marty), Brenda (Justin), Nicole (Danny), Danielle (Dustin), Sarah (David), and sisters Betty and Bernice (Joe) and many grandchildren. He is predeceased by parents Alice and John Duncan Cann, daughter Cheryl, brother Bob and brother-in-law Jerry. He had a passion for ancestry and was the master of “dad jokes”. He will be forever missed. Visitation will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes, Glencoe on Monday, July 15 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Dick Eric van Dorsten officiating. Interment to follow at the Alvinston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Canada of Heart & Stroke Foundation.
