Peacefully at Country Terrace Nursing Home, Komoka on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, Roger Davenport of Melbourne in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Alexander). Dear father of Alexander (Debbie) Davenport, Cyndie (Peter) Chelmak, Bob (Simone) Davenport and Michelle Gosnell (Bill Russell) and grandfather to Kellie Davenport, Natasha (Greg) Benoit, Nicholas (Kaleigh) Chelmak, Janelle (Bob) Crocker, Shannon (Rick) Standish, Brady Davenport (Erica), Brett Gosnell (Allie), Taylor Gosnell (Stefan) and Madison Gosnell. Loved by his great grandchildren Charlie, Liam and Myelle. Also survived by his brother Larry Davenport and sister Marilyn Davenport. Predeceased by infant brother John Robert and sister Barbara Maitland. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. Rev. Richard Golden officiating. Interment to follow at Longwood Cemetery, Melbourne. Memorial donations may be made to the Melbourne United Church.
