He is also survived by his brother Ken(Barb)Alderman, sister Jessie (Ray) McGugan and. sister in law Evelyn (Bill) Thomas. Bob was very proud papa to his grandchildren, Lindsay (Shawn), Brad (Erika), Ryan (Randilee) and Megan (Austin). Great Papa to Liam, Lola, Millie, Ivy, A.J. (predeceased 2017) Brooks, Boyd, two great grandsons on the way and extended Great Papa to Isabelle, Noal, Willie, and Luke. Bob was predeceased by his parents Allan “Peter” and Ina (Park) Alderman and mother and father in law Doris and Maurice Wright. As a young man, he courted his sweetheart, Freida and frequently drove the sideroad from the 2nd line to Aberfeldy. That courtship span over 60 years and together, they lived, farmed and shared many memories from attending kids and grandkid’s sporting events to travelling and camping with their beloved dog, Izzy. Bob instilled a strong work ethic in his boys and often said “the chores aren’t done until all the floors are swept” and a “job worth doing is worth doing right” His rows were always straight with planter or plough. He was a very particular man who often frequently visited the local car wash. His vehicles were always shone – as were his shoes. Bob served the municipalities of Enniskillen and Brooke townships as Clerk Administrator, a career that span over 35years in all. In his retirement, Bob stayed busy assisting brother Ken with his excavation business, helped his buddy Jack with property maintenance and maintained the records for Alvinston Cemetery. He often drove vehicles for MacFarlane Chevrolet..… he really enjoyed driving the new ones and could have written a consumers report for each of them! Bob, Dad, Papa  – you had a full life, a wonderful life. And you were loved by so many…. We will miss you but never forget you. You’ve left us with wonderful memories, wisdom, and an exemplary way to live and love. Job well done. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1st from 1-4 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe.  A private family interment will be held at the Alvinston Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House or Children’s Health Foundation.
