On Sunday February 1st, at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Marjorie Walker (nee Field) of Glencoe passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside. She was in her 91st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Burke Walker (2019). Loving mother of the late Bradley (2014) (Jenn Jones) and Joan (Stephen) Kitchen of Toronto. Cherished Nana to Andrew, Scott (Jen Mannick), Paul Kitchen and Jacqui Walker (Jacob Weber). Predeceased by her two brothers Ken (Lois 2022) Field (2001) and Keith Field (2011). Survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Field, her beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Marj influenced many students as a teacher in Mosa Township and Ekcoe Central, Glencoe. She loved golfing, curling and baking. She was the best Euchre partner you could possibly ask for. She and Burke enjoyed dancing, traveling, and going camping with their grandchildren. Time with friends and family brought her true joy. Many thanks to her PSW, Jasmine, who she considered part of her family, the St. Elizabeth Team, and all the staff of Canterbury Place who made her feel welcomed and special in Toronto. Heart-felt appreciation for the respectful care extended to Marjorie at Sunnybrook Hospital in the ER, ICU, and Palliative Care Units. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe. Visitation one hour prior to the service (12:00 to 1:00 p.m.). Rev. Amanda MacMillan officiating. A Private family Interment to follow at the Kilmartin Cemetery, Glencoe.
