Peacefully at University Hospital, London on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Anna Estella “Estelle” Aldred (nee Wall) of London passed away in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Aldred (2019). Dear mother of Mary Anne (Pierre L’Abbé) Aldred of Toronto, Christopher Aldred of London and Janice (Rob) Van Dasler of London. Loved by her 5 grandchildren: Matthew (Elissa), Simone (Ian), Geneviève, Andrew, Ian and great grandchildren Roy and Frederick. Survived by her dear brother-in-law Donald Aldred, her nieces and nephews: David (Lisa) Aldred, Rob Aldred, Julie (Greg) Aldred, John (Karen) Saunders and Barb (Dale) Axford. Predeceased by her sister Jean (Ross) Saunders, nephew James Saunders, brother-in-law Fred and sister-in-law Ruth. Estelle was intelligent, engaging and a devoted mother and wife. She was a gifted musician with a beautiful voice who obtained her ARTC (Piano) from the Royal Conservatory and was a vocal soloist and member of the famous Earle Terry singers. She was a music teacher and choir director in the schools in London and Niagara Falls for many years whose student choirs won many Kiwanis festival competitions. She taught piano for over fifty years. She will be remembered for her deep love of her family, her beautiful smile and her keen sense of humour. Following Estelle’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. John’s-in-the-woods, Aughrim on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to Kiwanis Music Festival, London ON
