In the early hours of December 16, 2021 Donald Franklin Branchflower passed away with family at his side at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury at the age of 96. He was the most loving husband and dance partner for 63 years of the late Eleanor Branchflower (2011). He leaves behind to mourn his loss son, Jim Branchflower and his wife Carmen, daughter Barb Gerber and her husband Dave. He was the much loved, admired and respected Grandpa to Kyle Gerber (2008), Carlie Gerber and her husband Marty Brown. He welcomed into his family Janice Davis and Norm Sayer and thought of them and treated them both as his own. Don called West Lorne, Glencoe, Florida, and most recently Seasons Retirement Residence in Strathroy his home. His sense of humour, quick wit, ability to socialize and have a good time were qualities that left him with many friendships over the years. He will be missed and remembered by many. Don had retired from Ontario Hydro as a Linesman after 36 years. Visitation at Van Heck Funeral Home, Glencoe on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Due to COVID restrictions, attendance is limited. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in. Pre-registration is required for EVERYONE. Masks and social distancing from the family and those around them is also required. A private service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Glencoe Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, West Lorne. Memorial donations may be made to Four Counties Health Services Foundation.
