Peacefully at her home, on Friday, February 15, 2019, Constance Pearl “Connie” Simpson (nee Keating) of Glencoe passed away in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Carl (2011), loving mother of the late Wayne (1981) and mother-in-law of the late Doug Dobie (1987). Survived by her loving family, her children; Wanda Simpson, Carol Wade (Mike), Craig Simpson (friend Vicky), Denise Semenuk (Tim) and Derrick Simpson, her grandchildren; Drew Kivell (Jessica), Preston Kivell (Janet), James Dobie (Caitlin), Patrick Dobie, Nicolette Johnson (Neil), Nigel Simpson (Karly), Carson Simpson, (Aly), Danielle Simpson, Jacob, Sarah and Rachel Semenuk, her great-grandchildren; Winston, Adella and Arthur Johnson, Harlow, Oliver and Elliott Dobie, Spencer and Harris Kivell, Broek, Deakon and Ellison Simpson, Wilfred and Rutherford Simpson and Fraser Kivell. Predeceased by her parents Jessie and Ralph Keating. Dear sister of Ralph Keating (late Donna), Wilfred Keating (Dona), late Doris Biales (late John), late Myles Keating (late Bernice), late Blair Keating (Edith) and sister-in-law of Evelyn and Marilyn. Connie will be missed by her nieces and nephews and many friends. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at 11 a.m. Rev. Cheryl Bolton officiating. Family interment to follow at the Oakland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Glencoe or My Sister’s Place.
