At CEE Site of Bluewater Health, Petrolia, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, George Louis Van Damme of Brooke-Alvinston passed away in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Burm). Dear father of Ron, Linda (Dennis) Bryson, Mary Lou (Ted) Minten, Diane Van Eyk, Bob (Laura), Allan (Shirley) and Don (Jeanine). Loved by his 40 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Richard (late Lorraine) and brother-in-law of Joan Bogaert and Doreen Bogaart, Henry Leavens and Paula Burm. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by 1 grandson and 1 great-grandson, 3 brothers Joe, Gus and Fr. John and in-laws Constant (Diane), Paul, John, Marjorie and Joe. Visitation will be held Monday, August 18th from 4-8 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 19th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Watford. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Alvinston. Memorial donations may be made to CEE Hospital Foundation.
