At Oneida Long Term Care on Sunday, May 5, 2024, Violet Goldeen (Erdely) Coad of Glencoe passed away in her 94th year. Violet has joined her beloved late husband Fred Coad (1974). Born in Alvinston and lived all her life in the Taits Corners Community in Ekfrid Twp. Dearly loved mother of Debbie (Jerry) Munn and John (Shelley) Coad. She was proud of her grandchildren Trevor Munn (Paula), Jason Coad (Joy), Scott (Valerie) Coad, Dwayne Munn and Wade Munn and her 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by one sister Mary (Ken) Chantler Remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Mary Erdely and siblings Margaret Cushman, Julius Erdely, Ann Kovacs and Frank Erdely. Violet loved the farm life, gardening, flowers, playing cards and bingo. She worked at Four Counties Hospital and was proud of her job and loved working with her colleagues and being able to provide care to others. Thank you to all the staff at Oneida Long Term Care for your kindness and compassionate care to our mother. You all became part of her family. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe. Visitation one hour prior to the service (noon til 1:00 p.m.) Rev. Amanda MacMillan officiating. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe. Memorial donations may be made to Oneida Long Term Care.
