At his home at R.R. 2 Wardsville on Thursday, July 23, 2015, Simon van Dam passed away in his 68th year. Dear Father of Jamie van Dam (Nicole) of BC and the late Timothy (2013). Survived by his brothers and sisters, Siena Kainz, Lloyd van Dam (Carol), Ties van Dam (Irene), Martha Dunseith (Wayne), Becky Austin (Bill), and Wilma Dill (Tom). Predeceased by sister Christina Weessies (Henry). Simon will be missed by his “grand-dogs” Molly and Abby and by many friends. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, July 27th at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Amanda MacMillan officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Health Foundation, London (Children’s Hospital).
