Sandy passed away at her home in Glencoe, at the age of 72. Dear partner of the late Robert McKnight. Dear sister and best friend of the late Janis Nelson and daughter of the late Olive Boyd and George Boyd. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews Tracy Stonard, James Stonard (Joan), Tamara McWhirter (Greg) and Grant Stonard (Catherine). Fondly remembered by her great-nieces and nephews, Justin, Nadia, Zack, Amanda (Chris), Kristin (Ramy), Matthew (Daryan), James, Joshua, Nathan, Jacob, Caitlyn and Ella. Sandy lived in Scarborough and worked at Dye and Durham and after her retirement, She moved to Glencoe to live a quieter life and spend time with her sister, Jan. During the early years she loved to camp with her partner Bob in the Peterborough and Campbellford areas, fishing and enjoying the outdoors with him. She will be remembered as the sweet lady behind the counter at Price Capades, in Glencoe, that her sister Jan owned, or at the Highland Junction in Glencoe having her cup of coffee and mingling with the local patrons, or even in the early spring and summer catching some sunshine on the bench near the post office. Memorial Service will be held at the Glencoe Presbyterian Church Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Deb Dolbear-VanBilsen officiating.
