Peacefully at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Friday, March 9, 2012, Lois (Smith) Johnston of Inwood in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Melvin Johnston for 59 years. Dear mother of Janice Marie Johnston. Also survived by her brother Roy Smith of Petrolia and several nieces and nephews and their families. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Visitation Centre, 3232 River St. Alvinston on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Susan Woodhouse officiating. Interment to follow at the Alvinston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the CEE Hospital Foundation or Fiddick’s Nursing Home.
