Lisa Marie Power of Bothwell passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the age of 53. Lisa is survived by her adoring husband, Pat Power, and is the loving mother of her 3 sons, Devin, Jeff and Bradley Power. Lisa is the middle daughter of Gord (2013) and Marie Downie and sister to Janet (Ron) Vanos and Cindy (Dave) Kucera. Daughter-in-law of Bob (2002) and Sally Power and sister-in-law to Missy, Phil (Tina), Francie, Vin (Shelley), and Mary Claire Power. Aunt to Emily and Jessica, Kayla and Ashley, Emilie and Chiara, Nicole (Josh), Kristen (Jesse) and Ryan, Zachary, Jonah and Caleb. Great-aunt to Jackson. Lisa grew up on the family farm which is where her love of farming started. She graduated from the University of Guelph and also has a music degree from The Royal Conservatory of Music. She started her 32-year career with DuPont as a summer student and was most recently a Territorial Manager with Pioneer. She loved working with her reps and farmers and helping them make the right choices. Her job gave her many opportunities: one of which was moving to Manitoba. While there she made many friends and started her family. Lisa has always loved sports – playing and watching them. Over the years, she has figure skated, curled, played baseball and ball hockey. She loved watching her boys play soccer and hockey and following the Pittsburgh Penguins. One of her favourite places was her cabin up at the French River. Body surfing, kayaking, fishing and swimming and social time made for lots of great memories. Lisa loved a good game of euchre and her big smile and laughter will be missed by many. Visitation will take place on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Van Heck Funeral Home, 3232 River St. Alvinston. Lisa’s funeral will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at Hope United Church, 3219 Elgin St. Alvinston. Reception to follow at Lisa’s family farm. All are welcome. Please, bring a lawn chair. Memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Southwestern Ontario or charity of choice.
