Suddenly at her home in Glencoe, on Saturday March 23, 2019, Helen Thornicroft passed away 2 weeks prior to her 100th birthday. Daughter of the late Ernest and Flossie Squire. Predeceased by her husband Evan (1969). Beloved mother of Nancy Koldyk-Geddes (Ian) and the late Jim Thornicroft (March 16, 2019) and his wife Barbara Thornton. Dear grandmother of David Koldyk, Rob (Brenda) Koldyk, Susanne Koldyk and Tracy Thornicroft and great- grandmother to 12 and great-great-grandmother to 10. Fondly remembered by the Geddes and Thornton families and sister-in-law Lois McGuire. Predeceased by her brother Norman and 2 sisters Florence and Doris, son-in-law Gabe, daughter-in-law Brenda and 2 grandsons Troy and Trevor. Helen was a dedicated life-member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Branch 219, Glencoe. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Appin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Four Counties Health Services Foundation or Branch 219 R.C.L.
