At University Hospital, London on Monday, April 3, 2023, Gertrude Arlene McColl of Glencoe passed away in 101st year. Dear mother of John Allan McColl (Linda) of Glencoe and Lenore Arlene Patterson of Wardsville and son-in-law Douglas Ferguson (Laurie) of London. She is remembered by her eight grandchildren Lori McColl, Ian McColl, Sarah and Jamie McCabe, Duncan Ferguson (Jocelyn), Krista and Gary Simpson, Emily and Jeremy Featherstone, Megan Patterson (Matt) and Kelly and Travis Caughell and step-granddaughter Erika Knutson (Alexandria) and her great-grandchildren Eila and Madilyn Simpson and Fynn and Fallon Featherstone and Mary and James McCabe. Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Minnie McAlpine, older sister Anne Marie McAlpine, her husband D. Sam McColl, her daughter Anne Ferguson, her granddaughter Hilary Lynn Patterson and son-in-law Scott Patterson. Visitation will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Friday, April 14 from 6-8 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at the Glencoe Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 15th at 1:30 p.m. (Visitation one hour prior) Rev. Deb Dolbear-Van Bilsen officiating. Family interment Covenanted Baptist Cemetery, Mayfair. Many thanks to the staff and residents of Beattie Manor who became part of her family over the last 4 years.
