Peacefully at Four Counties Health Services on Thursday, May 5th2022, George Eddie McCallum passed away in his 89thyear. Beloved husband of Gayle (nee Lee) for 46 years. Dear brother of Carlyle (Pat) and Gordon. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Liliian McCallum. Eddie became a member of the Mocha Shriners on May 30, 1992 and later the Mocha Classic Cars Club. Eddie with his 1969 Pontiac convertible enjoyed many parades and the wonderful friendships made along the way. Eddie spent his entire life a proud Glencoe resident. He joined the family business and later he farmed and worked at Carruthers Farm Equipment. Eddie also was a member of the Glencoe Fire Department and the Masonic Lodge. Following Eddie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Oakland cemetery on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Four Counties Health Services Foundation.
