Corrie Vink

At Chartwell Riverside Retirement Residence, London on Thursday, January 16, 2020, Cornelia Gertruda “Corrie” Vink (nee Verbeek) of London and formerly of Wardsville passed away peacefully in her 91st year. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1996 and son Ted in 1993. She was the proud mother of Martin (Nelly), Albert, John (Mary), Doug (Marcia) and Mary Lou (Steven) Saker. Loved by her 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Corrie is survived by her siblings Trudy Vonk, Peter, Albert and Gerard Verbeek and their families. Predeceased by brother Martin Verbeek and sister Rita Parsons. Corrie will be remembered for her faithful and generous nature. She volunteered in many capacities, being instrumental in the founding of Quad County Support Services and a member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 60 years. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Charles Garnier Church 244 Stella St. Glencoe on Monday, January 20 at 11:00a.m. Rev. John Jasica celebrant. Interment to follow at the North American Martyrs Cemetery, Wardsville. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home Sunday at 6:45 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, Glencoe or L’Arche London.
