Betty Dobbyn Hutchinson

betty Hutchinson cardIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Betty Jean Dobbyn Hutchinson (nee Fair), age 83, on April 14, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London.  She will be dearly missed by her children, Dianne Johnston-Pratt (Jim O’Connor) of Kawartha Lakes, Linda (John) McColl of Glencoe and Brian (Cheryl) Dobbyn of Wroxeter. Loving Grandmother to Lori McColl, Amanda Johnston, Melissa (Brian) Legree, Ian McColl, Marc and Danielle Dobbyn, Great Nan to Ruby Legree. Dear sister-in-law to Bob and Eunice Fennell, Shirley Fair, Wilhelmine Fair, Gordon and Isabel Hutchinson.  Faith, family and friends were her focus while “Live, Laugh, Love” was her motto and how she embraced life. A dearly loved soul whose memory will be cherished and live on in all the hearts she touched.  Betty is predeceased by her husbands, Alexander Reycraft (Rey) Dobbyn (1968) and William T. Hutchinson (2008), her parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Fair, brothers Harold and Robert Fair and son-in-law Mark Johnston.  Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe, on Friday April 25th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A memorial service will be held at Faith Trinity United Church in Shetland, on Saturday, April 26th at 11:30am with Rev. Margot Feyerer officiating. Interment to follow at the Shetland Cemetery.
