At Victoria Hospital on Monday, May 25, 2026 Paul Frederick Cassel passed away in his 80th year. Loving husband to Diane for 57 years. Cherished father to Michelle Cassel and David Cassel. Dear Papa to Haylie. Paul will be missed by his Brother-in-law Wayne (Carol) McColl and many cousins and friends, especially Larry and the Eastern Murrays. Paul was a devoted Scout Leader in Rodney, passionate about mentoring youth, enjoyed riding his motorcycle from coast to coast and spending time with family. Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday March 20, 2026, Eveline James passed away in her 72nd year. Predeceased by her loving husband Brad James (2021). Survived by her dear daughter Crystal. Grandchildren  Serena, Jaden, Christopher, Bradley, Chantal, Austin and great-granddaughter Ode’imin. Also survived by her sister Wendy Elliott , brothers Ronnie (Mellisa) Elliott, Howard (Penny) Kuenle, and Ross Elliott, sister-in-law Janet (Kim) James and brother-in-law Randy(Alice) James, honourary son Ray Fowler and daughter Danette. Predeceased by her parents Mac and Betty and brother Rick Elliott. Eveline will be missed by her friends family and fur baby Hammer. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place at Simpson Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at the family farm (22257 Pratts Siding Road, Glencoe on Saturday, May 16th  at 1 pm fireworks at dusk.

At Nithview Long Term Care, New Hamburg on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, James Edward “Jim” Cullen formerly of Glencoe passed away in his 87th year.  Beloved husband of 64 years to Mary Ann (Tanner) Cullen.  Much loved father of John Cullen, Shelley (Greg) Heipel and the late Ron (Tammy) Cullen (2015).  Also survived by his grandchildren Jonathan (Stephanie), Bailey, Sydney, Marlie, Eric, Chris, Jordan and Reilly (Alexa).  Predeceased by his brothers Fred and Frank and sisters Beatrice and Christine.  Fondly remembered by the Tanner family. 

Jim was a wonderful person who lit up a room. He was a vibrant and memorable presence who made people feel welcome and was always ready to lend a hand.  We remember him for his jovial spirit and the twinkle of kindness he carried in his eyes. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe where the Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.  Rev. Deb Dolbear-Van Bilsen officiating.  Inurnment to follow at Longwood Cemetery, Melbourne.  Memorial donations may be made to Nithview Home.
