At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Friday, January 10, 2025 Alexander Robert Johnson of Strathroy passed away at the age of 95. Predeceased by his wife Reta Mae Johnson (2018). Dear father of Carol (Bruce) Freer and Phyllis (Wayne) Campbell. Loved by his grandchildren late Kent (2024)(Steph) Miller, Kelly (Joe) Mohr, Andrew (Jess), Tyler (Josie), Adam (Kristin) Campbell and Sarah (Scott) Miner and his great-grandchildren Matthew and Ryan Miller, Derek, Jordyn, and Treysen Mohr, Bella and Cash Campbell, Reid and Hayden Campbell, Jace, Kacey and Blake Campbell and Annabelle, Mac, and Alice Miner. Also survived by his brother-in-law Kenneth Gough and sister-in-law Caroline Gough. Alex will be missed by many friends and extended family. Family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Seasons Strathroy Retirement Community for the exceptional care and support provided to Alex. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Monday from 4-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. Rev. Amanda MacMillan officiating. Interment to follow at the Appin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Appin Presbyterian Church.
