Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, Isabell Swartz of Petrolia and formerly of Inwood passed away in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Morris Swartz and the late Borden Henderson (1973). Dear mother of Gordon (Marion) Henderson of Petrolia and Nancy (Paul) Switzer of Thamesville and grandmother of Craig (Shannon) Henderson, Chad Henderson, Jeff (April) Switzer, Scott (Angie) Switzer and Marcy Switzer. Loved by her great-grandchildren Reed, Melanie, Griffin, Mandy, Kayla, Erica, Jordan, Josh, Sierra, Ryelly and Mason. Also survived by 2 sisters Verna Helps (late Edgar and the late Butch) and Lila Douglas (Ray). Predeceased by her brother Walter Smith and dear friend Joyce Steele. Relatives and friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home 3232 River Street, Alvinston on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, September 21 at 11 a.m. (visitation 10 – 11 a.m.) Rev. Steven Stanley officiating. Interment to follow at the Alvinston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or CNIB.
